Developmental Goals

Observation is probably the best way to assess and document developmental milestones in young children.

At KASP we have developed goal sheets for age groups ranging from Sweet Peas to Explorers. The goal sheets include 5 domains of development:

1. Physical well-being and motor development

2. Social and emotional development

3. Approaches to learning

4. Language

5. Knowledge and cognitive development

Goal sheets help each teacher guide the curriculum to individualize the child’s experience here at KASP. We pride ourselves in creating classrooms where children can learn and explore in an age appropriate way. Goals sheets are used as a way to help gain more information on each child and this allows the curriculum to truly be child centered .
